Performance, 2024
The performance is rooted in the idea of the park as a public garden, a shared space where individual experiences converge. It draws from interviews with four park-goers, delving into themes of ritual and memory in public gardens. By transforming these personal narratives into a live spoken word performance, the performer explores the boundaries between self and other, voice and action, private and public. Everyday park activities, such as walking and whistling, are recontextualized and infused with new significance, serving as a rhythmic pulse that drives the performance. The audience is invited to reflect on their own experiences of public spaces and the stories they may hold.
