YOU ARE is an improvised spoken word performance based on collective thinking with individual authorship. From sentences starting with ‘You,’ a multifaceted story is shaped, whose development incorporates the specificities of the given space. The collective explores the scope of scrutinized topics ranging from private to geopolitical issues. Constantly shifting the tonality between interrogation and confession, performers reproduce and question the fabrication of everyday terms, private memories and behavior patterns.
