Sound performance, 2022
Collaboration with Elisa Kühnl
Sin and Kühnl use their respective instruments – a vocal and a machine – to explore the possibilities of sonic materiality. Sin activates small motors in cups to create a range of sounds by touching different surfaces, while Kühnl’s voice challenges the boundaries of human vocalization. Together, they form a collective sounding dynamic that showcases these two instruments’ unique characteristics and interactions. Through their exploration, Sin and Kühnl seek to challenge and expand our understanding of materiality and its potential for artistic expression.
