Sound performance, 2019

Through carefully measured configurations, Sin builds up sounding dynamics using objects such as motors, bells and tuning forks. In addition to the physical construction, she also incorporates audio playback of recorded lecture, using them as a direct source of questioning and dialogue. The resulting performance, titled ‘A shared periphery,’ coincides with a reading by Franziska Windisch that further explores notions of sound, space, and listening.
